Sidney Lecther and Enrique Cremaschi were born in different countries and had diverse professional backgrounds, but fate and the shared passion for excellent pizza brought them together in a Buenos Aires pizzeria in 1995. Lecther was born in Brazil, with Italian ancestors in his lineage. He literally started at the bottom of the restaurant business, as a dishwasher, but within two years worked his way to manager. Subsequently, he went on to open successful restaurants in the USA. Cremaschi also was born of Italian ancestry, but in the neighboring country of Argentina. His career began in port operations, and although he was promised positions in Mexico, they never materialized. Throughout his life, he held onto the dream of owning a house on the beach.

When the men thought of opening an authentic Italian restaurant, they felt Buenos Aires was too competitive. So, Lecther suggested they give Mexico a try. Upon arriving in Bucerias in 2000, they found the perfect home on the beach, and the rest is history. They opened the very successful Mezzaluna Restaurant in downtown Vallarta, but becoming tired of the often multiple daily commutes from Bucerias, sold it spontaneously when an unexpected purchase offer came in.

Currently, they own and operate Mezzogiorno Restaurant in their original Bucerias beach house, which they renovated themselves to become a spectacular restaurant/bar with both indoor and outdoor seating areas and stairs to the beach. Sidney Lechter y Enrique Cremaschi nacieron en países distintos y tuvieron perfiles profesionales diferentes, pero el destino y una pasión compartida por la buena pizza los reunió en una pizzería de Buenos Aires en 1995. Lechter, de linaje italiano, nació en Brazil y comenzó literalmente en el fondo del negocio de restaurantes trabajando como lavaplatos, pero dos años después logró obtener el puesto de gerente. Subsecuentemente, abrió exitosos restaurantes en los Estados Unidos. Cremaschi también tiene ancestros italianos, pero nació en el país vecino de Argentina. Su carrera comenzó en operaciones portuarias, y aunque le prometieron puestos en México, estos nunca se materializaron. Durante toda su vida, había soñado con tener una casa en la playa.

Cuando ambos pensaron en abrir un auténtico restaurante italiano, sintieron que Buenos Aires era muy competitivo, por lo que Lechter sugirió intentarlo en México. Después de llegar a Bucerías en el año 2000, encontraron la casa perfecta en la playa, y el resto es historia. Abrieron el muy exitoso Restaurante Mezzaluna en el centro de Vallarta, pero tras cansarse de los múltiples recorridos diarios desde Bucerías, lo vendieron repentinamente cuando se presentó una oferta inesperada.

Actualmente son propietarios y operan el Restaurante Mezzogiorno en su casa de playa original en Bucerías, la cual fue renovada por ellos mismos para convertirla en un espectacular restaurante/bar con áreas para sentarse en interiores y exteriores y con escaleras hacia la playa.
