What's New Riviera Nayarit
Much of the recent growth in the Puerto Vallarta area has been toward the northern tip of Banderas Bay and now stretches up the coast into the neighboring state of Nayarit. We at Vallarta Lifestyles refer to the section of coastline from Rio Ameca (the border between Jalisco and Nayarit states, north of the airport) to Punta Mita at the northern tip of the bay as the North Shore. The entire stretch, including the North Shore and encompassing the coastline as far north as Guayabitos, is referred to as Costa Vallarta Norte.
